ClickSafety, an OSHA-authorized provider, allows Ironworkers to stay up to date on OSHA certifications and complete mandatory and optional safety courses in a timely manner. Training is covered by your dues payment as a benefit of membership. The certifications you receive will stay with you. Upon completion, your certificate will be available as a downloadable PDF.
To Access Training:
Login to the SMDS. Your username is your book # and your password is the FIRST 4 digits of your SSN. Your password will be the first four digits of your SSN. IMPORTANT: Once you are issued a membership book number, your username will automatically change to the book number.
Click on “View Click Safety Training Courses.”
Note: If using an iPhone or iPad - pay special attention to the Apple product notice. Using Google Chrome on a laptop is the easiest and best method.
Choose the training you need from the course menu.
Please note:
You can only sign up for and take one course at a time.
You have 6 months from course start to complete OSHA courses (Per Federal OSHA).
You only have 7.5-hour time limit per day in an OSHA course. Once that amount of time has expired, you must wait 24 hours from the end of that 7.5-hour period before continuing in that course again (Per Federal OSHA).
You have 3 chances to pass an OSHA course module before failing the entire course. (Per Federal OSHA).
You will receive reminders of non-completion once per week for 4 weeks, then once monthly for the remainder of the 180 days to remind you to complete the course.

I’m having trouble logging in.
If you are having login issues, you may be trying to log into the wrong portal. The login for the IMPACT website and for online safety training (ClickSafety) are in different places. Make sure you are using the link provided above.

How do I find my certificate?
Certificates for completed courses are in the section of the Safety Management Database System called "Reports/Functions." Just click on the link for "Worker Credentials." Under "Online Training Courses," look for the completed course. If you look all the way to the right, you will see a hyperlinked "Certificate." Click on that and you can open, download, and print your certificate.
